How to Apply

Applications must be submitted by February 1. We consider submissions timely if they are hand delivered or postmarked on or before February 1. If the post office is closed on February 1, proposals must be hand delivered or postmarked by the next business day.

Grants are determined annually at a meeting in late May or early June. Before this meeting, a site visit is made to each organization being considered for a grant. These visits usually involve two board members who arrange a time that is mutually convenient. The purpose of these visits is to allow applicants to elaborate on their proposal and to answer questions that the board might have.

Initial proposals should include the following:

a. A description of the project to be funded

b. A statement about ways in which the project affects residents of Newton

c. A statement about how the project benefits girls or young women

d. A budget for the project and the past year's budget for the entire sponsoring organization

e. A list of the members of the organization's board

f. A copy of the organization's 501(c)3 determination

Proposals should be mailed to:
The Rebecca Pomroy Foundation, Inc.
P. O. Box 66066
Auburndale, MA 02466

Please note that the application deadline is followed very strictly.
